This Technical Newsletter provides an overview of a recent update to RoboSpot, new documentation and software releases for Robe fixtures. RoboSpot control now supports additional fixture models and Virtual Colour channels, while various fixes enhance reliability and workflow. New Service Manuals, Technical Bulletins and updated Spare Parts Price Lists are available for download. In addition, software updates for lighting fixtures introduce new features, performance improvements and bug fixes. Detailed notes for each fixture follow.
The latest software update expands RoboSpot’s compatibility and control capabilities, ensuring greater flexibility for live productions. Support has been added for the new T.5, SVB1, iSpiiderX and LedPointe fixtures, while BMFL Spot, Blade, WashBeam/EV, FollowSpot and FollowSpot LT profiles now include a Virtual Colour channel accessible via RoboSpot control. New DMX modes for the Footsie fixtures are also supported. The on-screen keyboard can now adjust hue and saturation values directly. Finally, several issues have been resolved: the pixel follower’s fade-intensity area is correctly saved, the blackout problem when the RoboSpot controller powers off has been eliminated, and colour exports to USB flash drives now function reliably.

To get these new features and all other Robe Software updates, for easy update, download and installation please use the Robe Uploader software for the Robe fixtures with Robe Navigation System 2 (RNS2) and use the Robe Toolkit for Robe fixtures the Robe Navigation System 3 (RNS3)

The GDTF initiative by Robe Lighting has generated an incredible buzz at Prolight + Sound. Year after year, Robe has made it a priority to release GDTF files on schedule, and this year was no different. In fact, all GDTF files for the latest Robe devices launched at PL&S were released even before the exhibition began.
