Lighting designer Jacob Gowler relished the chance of using Robe’s new T1 Profiles and LEDBeam 150s for the first time on a Cambridge Theatre Company (CTC) production of the crime-and-passion fuelled musical Chicago (High School Edition), staged over six performances in the 337-seat Great Hall at The Leys School in central Cambridge, UK.

Endla Theatre Re-Energises with Robe

Endla Theatre in Pärnu, Estonia, has reinvested in Robe LED products across its two performance halls as part of a wider conversion to LED lighting, related to the Estonian “Green Turn” initiative. This has seen 16 of the country’s major theatres – a mix of local government and private performing arts institutions – convert lighting stock from tungsten-halogen to LED over the last 12 months.

Peter Pan Flies with Luz Studio & Robe

Montreal-based Luz Studio, headed by Matthieu Larivée, was asked by producers Entourage to create a visual design for their staging of Peter Pan the Musical at the city’s Espace St-Denis theatre. It was the first time that this famous fairytale musical had been presented there and in Quebec, and the challenge was to ensure that all the adventure and charm of the original story were replicated in a more contemporary setting.

Estonian National Theatre Vanemuine invests in new Robe LED technology

Vanemuine is Estonia’s oldest, largest, and most visited theatre. Based in the country’s culturally vibrant and picturesque second city of Tartu, it has recently invested in more Robe moving lights as part of Estonia’s ‘Green Turn’ sustainability initiative, whereby all major theatres and performing arts centres are transitioning to LED stage lighting.
