This Technical Newsletter provides an overview of recent update to RoboSpot, new documentation and software releases for Robe fixtures. RoboSpot control now supports additional fixture models and Virtual Colour channels, while various fixes enhance reliability and workflow. New Service Manuals, Technical Bulletins and updated Spare Parts Price Lists are available for download. In addition, software updates for lighting fixtures introduce new features, performance improvements and bug fixes. Detailed notes for each fixture follow.

We have released service manuals for the new FORTE® and SPOTE™ fixtures, have some interesting news about additional green adjustment (tint channel) for ESPRITE® and will also mention other updates and releases to technical documentation.

Robe rocked one of its busiest and most dynamic LDI (Lighting Design International) expos to date in Las Vegas, winning two awards, one for Best Creative Use of Light and the other for the T1 product series.

Colours of Ostrava (COO / Colours), the largest and most popular music festival in the Czech Republic is also now ranked among one of the ‘majors’ in Europe, with 20 performance stages offering over 350 live music acts and plenty of other creative engagement across four days, attracting a population of 50,000 fans from all over Europe.

The Fort Gate at Fort Canning Hill in Singapore provided a stunning backdrop for the 2018 City 65 Music Festival. The location, renowned for its lush greenery and expansive lawns has become a hub for cultural and creative activities and a venue of choice for many outdoor events.

It’s THAT time of the year again … the 2018 Total Production International (TPi) Awards, produced by TPi Magazine, part of Mondiale Publishing was staged at the Battersea Evolution venue in London, and Robe was once again delighted to be right at the heart of the action, lighting the event utilising some of its latest technologies.

The cavernous Shlomo Arena in Tel Aviv was brought to life - for the first time ever with the buzz of dance music - as the fantastic sounds and musical distinction of Tale of Us swirled around the environment in a limited-entry show presented by The Tripping, the country’s most discerning electronic music promoters.

Robe was the moving light of choice for the second season of The Voice South Africa. Multi-Media were again appointed as technical production company by TV producers AMPN, with Joshua Cutts of Visual Frontier once again appointed as lighting designer.

Lighting designer Eran Klein of leading Israeli creative practice Studio Cochavi & Klein has worked in many interesting places, spaces and environments, so when asked to add his visual magic to an event on Nitzanim Beach, around 45 kilometers out of Tel Aviv in Israel by top wedding planner TY Productions, he knew some special parameters would be needed.

PLASA 2017 proved a lively, energetic and vibey hub for meeting the UK’s lighting and visual designer community and other creatives commented Robe UK’s MD Mick Hannaford, words echoed by the moving light manufacturer’s CEO Josef Valchar, stating, “We have enjoyed seeing many individuals, companies and organisations from all over the UK as well as several from Europe – the quality of the visitors and the networking opportunities were really excellent this year!”

Robe moving lights made a major contribution at the 2017 Colours Of Ostrava (COO) festival with nearly 100 fixtures utilized to light the ArcelorMittal Stage in a stylish and flexible production design created by Kamil Kruzik. The lights were supplied by oneAVteam, the largest audio visual rental group in Central Europe. Three companies cooperated on this project – AV MEDIA, RentalPRO and YVENTECH.

Czech lighting manufacturer Robe lighting s.r.o. enjoyed another incredible Prolight+Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, taking the opportunity to launch their new German subsidiary, Robe Deutschland GmbH; showcasing 10 new inventive and interesting products and creating another great showspace for visitors on Booth D80 in Hall 3 of the annual expo.

Almost 300 Robe lighting fixtures were used to illuminate the 2017 Total Production International (TPi) Awards produced by TPi Magazine, part of Mondiale Publishing ... and staged at Evolution in Battersea, central London on Monday night.
