Lighting designer Mario Nascimento specified 20 Robe ColorSpot 1200 ATs and four ColorWash 1200 ATs plus 16 LEDBlinder 196 LTs and a large generic lighting rig for a live concert/DVD recording by Limao com Mel, Brazil’s most popular forro band.

This was staged at the Recife Theatre at the Federal University of Pernambuco, attended by 4,500 enthusiastic fans.

All lighting was supplied by leading Brazilian lighting company Elo Iluminacao, who have just recently sold the ColorSpot and Wash 1200s to add to Limao com Mel’s  24 Wash 575 XTs.

Elo Iluminacao, also supplied and designed the stage. Lighting for the show was operated by Carioca using an Avolites Pearl 2004 console.

Nascimento and executive producer Ailton Souza decided to buy Robe moving lights because of their reliability, incredible brightness and the "beautiful" gobos and special effects, and ultimately because they knew they would offer amazing effects on camera as well as for the live show.  “Robe is an excellent brand. And we also have a good technical support from Trendy Lighting, Robe´s distributor in Brazil”, says Airton Souza.

The LED Blinders were used for audience illumination and were also chosen for their brightness, impact and low power consumption.
