The Municipality of Kanjiža in the Banat region of Serbia has invested in Robe moving lights as part of a complete tourable staging system delivered to the Kanjiža local council by Robe’s very active Serbian distributor, Studio Berar.

The equipment supply – a cross border initiative with neighbouring Romania to promote tourism in the Tisa region – includes Robe Color Spot and Wash Zoom 575E AT fixtures, a LITEC roof structure, complete with motors, a full audio system and a modular stage.

It is intended that the portable stage will host a number of different events in the area, anything from live music concerts to speakers, presentations and conferences.

Studio Berar won the contract amidst strong competition because of the quality of their products and the service and support offered, plus their competitive pricing.

Robe moving lights were specified for the package as good work-horse luminaires –and also after the client thoroughly researched and considered all the different options.

When the staging system is not in use in Kanjiža province itself, the intention is that it can be rented out to other Municipalities and local government sponsored and organised events.

The stage has its own lighting, audio and staging technicians who will work on it and look after it, together with a project manager – all employed by the Municipality of Kanjiža.

Once the system was delivered, Studio Berar arranged an intensive training programme allowing all to learn the build and installation process and become familiar with the new lighting and sound equipment.

The overall project was managed for Studio Berar by Aleksandar Kruscic who comments, “They are delighted with the results so far, as well as having the chance to work with some of the latest and best equipment on the market”.
