MegaPointe is named a Live Design 2017-18 ‘Product of the Year’

We are delighted that the MegaPointe has been named as one of Live Design’s 2017-18 Lighting Products of the Year – in the Luminaire (Discharge Source) category – as selected by a panel of high-profile lighting designers and programmers.

This follows on from the Spikie being named a 2016-17 Lighting Product of the Year in the Luminaire category, so to be recognised two years running by Live Design REALLY means a lot!

MegaPointe has been one of the most successful moving light fixtures ever in the history of Robe and hugely popular since its launch in September 2017.

The product design and R’n’D teams listened intently to what the market was asking for, and spent a considerable time researching and talking to end-users and lighting professionals active in all sectors of the industry … from creative practitioners to rental companies.

Their goal was to produce a small, lightweight, incredibly bright multifunctional fixture that was ultimately reliable, and equally high quality in beam, spot or wash mode ... and with a near-infinite host of effects. The result was the MegaPointe!

It is something that makes us all extremely proud. It’s been an exciting and invigorating journey to watch the MegaPointe take off and be used on some of the most innovative and imaginative shows embracing all genres of entertainment over the last 9 months!

Being Live Design ‘Product of the Year’ is also a big testament to the hard work and achievements of all our subsidiaries and distributors and their sales teams worldwide.

We are looking forward being at the LDI expo in Las Vegas in October and to another amazing year!
