For the last 18 months, he’s been working with Meridian Pro in Mexico City … ironically he joined after the company asked his opinion on choosing the right moving light products to renew its stock.

“I’ve had the chance to work with all the major brands over time,” he explains, “I’m hard to convince, but I have to admit that Robe’s Pointe and LEDWash are among my favourites”.

He became acquainted with Robe through local distributor, Vari, and started to trail the most recently launched products. “I could see the advantages that Robe’s lights were offering and, honestly, when Meridian asked my advice on where their investment would be best spent … I said ‘Robe’!’”

Currently Leonardo is working on a number of theatre shows, corporate events and artistic shows with Meridian.

He likes the Pointe for its power, speed and the scope of the features, “In many applications, other beam light products available don’t offer even half of the functionality. The Pointe is definitely very innovative!”

The LEDWash 1200 he likes for its power and the colours which are almost the exact match to the ‘standard’ palette that he looks for to light shows. On the LEDWash 600, he highlights the light weight, individually controllable LED rings and easy maintenance.

"I am a technician who repairs and maintains the equipment as well as going out and operating shows and so I find the Robe units very user-friendly. They are easy to dismantle, everything is modular and simply laid out, and this really helps on the rare occasion when you need to take the fixtures apart! If you want to isolate a component, the process is quick and straightforward.”

He also finds the sensors on the fixture menu that warns if the light needs any kind of maintenance. “This is an excellent innovation,” he declares.

Leonardo concluded: “These Robe models have all worked really well. There is a lot of demand for them right now and I’m seeing many lighting professionals asking for Robe. So it’s a good option for rental companies thinking about investing ... I strongly recommend Robe”.
