Robe Show Lighting made a big presence in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the country’s top trade show - Expomusic 2003. Robe was represented by Trendy Lighting its exclusive Brazillian distributor, also based in this buzzing commercial super-city.

Trendy Lighting, showed the full array of Robe equipment including Robe’s new flagship product – the ColorSpot 1200. While smaller Robe fixtures like the DJ Scan 250 and the Spot 250 XT are already established best sellers in the Brazilian market, visitors to the show were very excited to see the ColorSpot 1200 AT for the first time.

Rigged amidst at least 60 other Robe fixtures on the stand, the ColorSpot specifically drew the attention of professional visitors. Two fixtures were available on a pedestal for closer examination, and many visitors took the opportunity to explore this well engineered masterpiece further!

The large Trendy Lighting booth was designed in white, including the floor, giving a good backdrop and excellent projection facilities.

“This show was a real success for us”

, comments Cintia Andrade, Trendy’s CEO,

“We’ve found many new customers, and have completed some great business. We are fast establishing Robe as an alternative brand in Brazil.”

The Trendy sales staff and their sales regional representatives were constantly busy with customers from all over the country.

Robe’s International Sales Manager Harry von den Stemmen adds,

“I’ve been doing business in Brazil for the past 3 or 4 years, and clearly see the growth potential”

. Von den Stemmen had arrived in Sao Paolo directly from the US, following the successful launch of the ColorSpot 1200 "road-show" in North America.

“The general economical conditions are steadily improving, and the overall quality, attractiveness and great value-for-money of Robe products is drawing people’s attention. It’s important to have a well organized, financially strong distributor with the commercial skills to establish the brand and improve sales. We are very happy with Trendy Lighting, and I am sure our business will continue to grow much faster here after Expomusic”.

The annual show, held in Sao Paolo’s Expocenter Norte complex begins each day with a long commute out of the city for exhibitors and visitors. With the doors opening at 1 p.m., there’s plenty of chance to make it in time – and to recover from the previous evening’s after-show entertainment and partying!
