Radio Televizija Vojvodine (RTV), the public broadcaster in the Serbian province of Vojvodina, have added Robe CycFX 8 units to their lighting stock for the main studio in Novi Sad.
The five units were specified by the studio’s main Lighting Designer Irinej Hudak – after considering several options - and were delivered by Robe’s Serbian distributor, Studio Berar Projekt. They join their existing stock of Robe LEDWash 600 and Robin 600E Spot moving lights.
He particularly liked the brightness, the smooth and dynamic colour mixing, the individual pixel control and the tungsten halogen effects of the CycFX. “It’s a multifunctional intelligent light with a number of options which can be used in many different ways,” he confirms.
At the TV Vojvodina studio “The Danube”, they are primarily being used on the many arts and entertainment shows produced at the studio, often to light the fronts of sets and scenic pieces, drapes and cycloramas.
“The CycFX 8 effects are very interesting, especially when combining tilts and colour macros, they are great to light cycs and drapes and also as footlights and contra-lights for the performers, either positioned on the floor or mounted up in the grid.” Irinej confirms, adding as an LD, “I recommend the Robe CycFX 8 because it can really enrich the visual impact of any design.”
The lighting crew are also finding them easy to handle. They all love the clearly visible LED status info display.
RTV’s CycFX 8s are currently being regularly used for two shows – “Neka Pesma Kaze” and “Tabloid”, together with the LEDWash 600s and the Robin 600E Spots which are in use daily.
Each week the studio produces and broadcasts regional radio and TV programmes featuring a diverse selection of informative, educational and entertainment shows 24 hours a day in 10 languages - Serbian, Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian, Ruthanian, Bunjevac, Ukrainian, Roma, Croatian and Macedonian.
Robe is a popular choice in Serbia for all professional lighting applications thanks to the very proactive work of Studio Berar Projekt in establishing the brand. Robe is known for its reliability and quality and also for the excellent technical support and after sales service from the distributor.

Lighting designer Mike Swinford of UpLate Design loves new tech as much as he loves the chance to be the first to use it, so he was delighted when everything aligned for rental company Fuse to invest in the first Robe FOOTSIE luminaires to arrive in the USA … which he utilized as a key lighting element for the 2023 CMA Fest.
