High Wycombe, UK based lighting rental specialist Siyan has recently expanded its stock with the addition of Robe Pointes and more LEDBeam 100 moving lights, all of which were sent directly out on various jobs for the summer as soon as they were delivered by Robe UK.

The Pointes were purchased for their brightness, versatility and excellent features, and the LEDBeam 100s for their tiny size and because, “They are simply one of the most popular fixtures of the moment,” states Siyan’s MD Nick Valdez.

He adds that the frequency with which Pointes are appearing on riders was another fact making them realise they needed to have them in stock to augment their existing Robe inventory.

Robe’s ROBIN Pointe was launched in 2013 and has quickly become the company’s fastest selling fixture ever – the uptake spearheaded by numerous lighting designers and directors taking full advantage of the multi-functionality and compact size.

The fixture’s many highlights include incredible brightness and a sharp parallel beam that easily pierces the air and cuts across LED screens. It is super-fast and can project static or rotating glass gobos producing precise in-air and surface images. The output is equally crystal clear whether being run as a tight beam or at the full 20 degree zoom. Rotating 6 way linear or 8 way circular prisms can be used to create a mind-boggling range of funky and mesmeric effects … and that is just the start!

Siyan now has approaching 150 Robe moving lights in its rental inventory – a mix of MMX Spots, Pointes, LEDBeam 100s and LEDWash 600s. One of the reasons they keep buying Robe is for the brand’s proven reliability, a key factor for any rental house.

All Siyan’s Robe units have been supplied by Robe UK who also offer “Fantastic support and after-sales service,” comments Nick.

Siyan is constantly busy providing lighting for a wide variety of tours, shows and events.

Recents have included Katy B (LD Tom Campbell) with LEDWash 600s amongst other fixtures; the “Once in a Lifetime’ tour (LD Smiffy) which also featured LEDWash 600s … and a floor specials package for The Editors’ festival tour (LD Colin Ross) with more LEDWash 600s and LEDBeam 100s.

Fourteen of Siyan’s new Pointes made up the specials package for the Black Veil Brides UK and European tour (LD Chris Reade, Lighting Director Jimmy Duke).
