Fixture library support in various DMX desks has previously been a big issue for all of us - fixture manufacturers, DMX desks manufacturers as well as the end users. During the past few years this evolved very much and currently all ROBE customers get a great support for fixture libraries directly from all major DMX control desk manufacturers.
Unlike several years back, fixture libraries are nowadays present in the control desks' stock software, providing a good basis for operating the fixtures and work perfectly for most users. As the preferences and needs of any operator vary a lot and it is very hard to find a common ground, the libraries can always be tweaked and changed to the users liking easily by customizing the standard profile rather then making a new one from scratch.
We have checked and summarized current list of provided libraries for most of major manufacturers, including Avolites, MA Lighting, Chamsys, Compulite, ETC, HES, Jands, Martin, LSC and others and you can find it together with links to the download sites/packages for each manufacturer here.
We are also in direct touch with the desk manufacturers and fixture library makers and we always provide them with up to date information, DMX Charts, User Manuals, Gobo images and changes to make sure that any questions and possible issues are solved promptly right at the source. And although we ourselves use and test many of the provided profiles, it is not possible for us to fully test every single one of them and therefore we always recommend you to report library issues directly to the desk manufacturer (who is also the library provider), together with full description of the issue.
